I traveled to Budapest this past weekend and it was absolutely amazing. I can understand why is it called the city of bridges.
The set up of the city: the city is divided by the mighty Danube; on one side Buda and on the other side Pest. I stayed in Buda at a quaint little hostel. The first day was spent checking out Old Town Pest. We saw many sights and it was great just to be there.
The second day was Buda, with its huge castle. It was amazing to look across the city from the castle hill.
The Parliament building
The bridge
The city at night.
Again
The bridge and the castle on the hill...
Me with the castle
The bridge
The bridge...
Main square..
With a ski slope in the middle of it...
Overall is was a great experience.

Quote of the Day
“To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket, safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. To love is to be vulnerable.”
